Its nowhere safe in Gaza Strip, according to the United Nations. The Israeli soldiers are everywhere, conducting what was described by an International Red Cross worker as ‘extermination of Gaza’.
With more than 1,100 people killed and almost 5,000 injured in less than two weeks, the massacre was worst ever since the Israel-Falangist stormed Sabra and Shatilla refugee camps in Lebanon more than 25 years ago.
“This is total holocaust. They shoot everyone on sight,” she said.
Israel launched its military offensive on December 27 to the dismay of international community.
Last Friday, a United Nations resolution called for both warring parties, Israel and Hamas, to work on a ceasefire and join a peace talk. However, US (represented by Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice) abstained from voting.
